For the third year in a row, we were able to share Christmas Eve brunch with the Wiese family. This has become a really enjoyable tradition.
Another family tradition, is having appetizers on Christmas Eve. We each picked our favorite. Jason picked stuffed mushrooms, I picked avocado salsa, and Ryan wanted Rudolph (resulting in laughing cow cheese with pretzels and M&Ms).
After realizing 'mummy dogs' was a Halloween tradition, Kyle modified his choice, electing for Baby Jesus wrapped in cloth. Creative! Here is an example of his appetizer, placed near the manger scene (and Mr. Carrot Elf).
We went to the 7:00 candlelight service. We just love being at our Church for Christmas!
Once returning home, we opened all the gifts from family. The boys were up until past 10:00!
Even being up late, the boys awoke by 7:00 to find their Santa presents waiting for them...just what they asked for...a dream lite and a remote control monster truck!
Christmas day was spent playing with all the toys and games. They boys got a lot of board games for Mueller Family Game night. The Berningers joined us for Christmas dinner and a handful of games that evening.
We awoke the next morning to the most perfect Christmas snow! Once the winds calmed, the boys shoveled and built snowmen for three hours. I was able to read a book by the fire! It was such a perfect, peaceful Christmas!
