Anniversary Trip to Holland!

Before 2007 (and the arrival of team RyKy), major highlights of Jason and my relationship were created by combining both travel and quality time together. We love to plan, explore, and discover new places. Traveling both internationally and within the US really allowed us to appreciate the wonderful life we have, realizing how blessed we are. Also, the weeks spent away from the norm always seemed to make our relationship stronger as they were always an chance to 'refocus' on us.

So "US" time remains a priority. It is the foundation to our family...so Jason and I have a promise to have an annual anniversary trip for our chance to focus on just the two of us (and miss our boys dearly at the same time).

2008 we went to Vegas, 2009 we went to Denver/Breckenridge, and this year we went to Holland!
Holland, Michigan...that is...In an attempt to stick to our new "dave ramsey" budget, we opted for a destination close to home. And we were not disappointed. As a matter of fact, quite the opposite. Jason and I loved our 3 days only 4 hours away from Indy. Some highlights included:
Mexican lunch, reading at the beach, a cookout at the campground, a campfire, more beach time, downtown Holland for lunch, a distillery tour, shopping, ice cream, cribbage, scrabble, a beautiful hike and getting 10.5 hours of continuous sleep (who knew we are actually capable of sleeping in past 9:00).

We missed our boys but were relaxed the entire time, knowing they were in great care with Grandma and Grandpa Mueller. They drove down from Wisconsin to spend the days the boys...playing in the sprinklers, going to PBS in the Park, reading books, playing with trains, and just getting spoiled. Thanks so much Grandma and Grandpa for everything!
