Trip to Virginia - part 1

The day after school is out, we hop in the car and drive to Virginia, joining my parents at Chippokes State Park. The next day we take the ferry over to Jamestown to visit both the Historic Jamestown (original site of Jamestown) along with Jamestown Settlement (recreation and reenacting of Jamestown).

Day 2 of our trip we went into Norfolk and took the Naval Base Cruise to see all the ships that were docked including 4 aircraft carriers. We then went to Nauticus Museum and Battleship Wisconsin.

We then spent 2 days at Colonial Williamsburg. We toured several homes, gardens and various other buildings. It was so interesting talking to the colonists...who knew history could be so much fun! Here is day 1...

En route back to the campground, we stopped off for some wine and hush puppies!
