6 Years Old...and a week-long celebration!

The weekend prior to Ryan and Kyle's 6th birthday, the Parrott family joined us for some overnight fun at Caribbean Cove.  The boys had a blast!

We celebrated with dinner at Steak and Shake for Ryan, Kyle and Uncle Russ.
The morning of Wednesday, April 24, the boys opened their bedroom door to surprise balloons falling.
A fun way to start the day off right!
They brought a treat to school.  Kyle picked KungFu Panda and Ryan chose sports.
The boys exchanged gifts to one another.  Kyle picked out Mad Libs for Ryan and Ryan picked out Angry Birds for Kyle.
We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner (Ryan's choice) where the staff sang happy birthday to them.  Kyle smiled; Ryan was embarrassed and looked down at the table (trying not to smile).
Look at Ryan's face here as he opened Rip Clutchgonski for his birthday, a huge surprise because he assumed only Santa could find such a rare car.  Kyle opened his Pinewood Derby car.  Jason's parents and grandmother arrived in Indy the evening of their birthday to celebrate too!
Earlier in the week, Kyle and Ryan had made their own pinatas.  That was their one request for their birthday so we had a pinata party on Friday evening.  Kyle's pinata was a smiley face and Ryan's had a G on it for the Green Bay Packers.

Here is Kyle explaining his party game of pin the sticker on the helmet.  Love his creativity!
Much of the week was spent playing with the new toys!
We had a lovely few days with Jason's mom, dad and great-grandma!  Kyle even exclaimed "This is the best birthday EVER!"
