Everyday Life

The past few weeks have been very enjoyable. I work while the boys go to preschool. The remainder of the time is spent at home. We have been doing a bit more on the weekends...like the children's museum, the mall, or going out for a meal. Ryan and Kyle continue to amaze me. Here are a few pictures highlighting the daily events of a 3 year old.
Team RyKy are getting very good at spelling. They are also starting to read too! They really get along well and are generally quite grateful to have the 'built-in' playmate!
Puzzles are also another recent passion...we do a couple every day. We have graduated from the easy puzzles and are getting through the 150 or 300 piece ones with help from mom and dad.
We are always looking for ways to release energy! Our neighbor gave this gift to the boys for Christmas and it has been a lifesaver for the winter days that we have been housebound.
And if you look closely in every picture, there is always a car near by. The boys are SO into the movie Cars. They know all the lines from the movie, read all the books, and sing all the songs. They want ALL the Cars Characters. These little cars are scattered throughout every room of the entire house. They eat, sleep, and play Cars and cannot wait for Cars 2 to come out this summer. We also just found out that Cars Land is coming to Disneyland in 2012...sounds like we might make it to California for the first time!
Ryan and Kyle are getting to a point where they are not needing afternoon naps. This is a challenge because I am still needing to rest in the afternoon. So, if you drop by around 2:00, you'll find mommy eyes closed while the boys are reading books in their beds! (Don't call children's protective services)
We did go to LA Fitness this week for the first time in 2 months! The boys enjoyed the play time and I enjoyed a 'modified' spin class! Things are getting back to normal. Life is good!
