So a quick "catch up" on us from January and February...
- Football, football, football- Both the colts and the packers provided an exciting season and we were able to watch playoff games with the Zales, Schamerlohs, Wieses, Buerosses and Krosschells. It's fun to catch up with friends...plus Jason splurged on a very large TV with surround sound so the experience is pretty cool.
- Jason's parents spent a few nights visiting us at the new house on their way to Hilton Head Island.
- Birthday parties...Team RyKy's friends Lily and Kale had very fun parties at gymnastics centers.
- Date-night Valentines Day weekend swap. The boys spent the night at friends....we went to dinner at an English pub, visited Lowes and Home Depot, and went to a late-night movie. It was a great evening and the boys loved the sleep over.
- Some awesome, low-key Mueller family weekends. We love movie night with popcorn. So far we've watched Cars and Ratatouille.
- My mom's (and grandmother's) health surprises. After discovering her heart is not getting enough oxygen, my mom had a heart catheterization (which showed everything looking OK). But this procedure resulted in an aneurysm, 2 weeks of bed rest, and the rescheduling of our family Disney trip. Mom is resting and things are looking promising!
- Jason and I are going through Financial Peace University with David Ramsey at church. We are really enjoying the 2 hour, once a week class and are already seeing results.
- Another fun visit from the Parrot Family. We watched the Olympics, went to the Incredible Pizza Company, played ticket to ride, and let the boys have a blast.
- One-on-one time with Ryan and Kyle. Jason and I have been splitting up running errands and then having special time with the boys individually. The conversations over hot chocolate at Starbucks is precious and we plan on making this a bi-monthly event.
- House projects. We have painted and covered up the rooster border in our half-bath. Our next project is the kitchen. Jason and I have both agreed on the new counter top so we are just waiting for our tax return at this point - I am so excited!
- Snow, Snow, Snow- Indiana's 10th snowest winter on record. The boys love it (true Wisconsinites at heart).
