Boy do I have to catch up....

A lot going on since November....hopefully I can recall everything! Here is an attempt to summarize:
  • Sunday, Nov 8 - my mom and dad closed up their Indiana house and came down to Indy to help out with the move
  • Tuesday, Nov 10 - We got the keys to the new house! We had the air ducts, dryer vent, carpets, and furnace cleaned. The project list started for Mom, Dad, and I: cleaning, painting and getting the boys room done first, switching locks, and the boxes started being hauled across the street.
  • Wednesday, Nov 11 - kitchen is usable and the boys room and bathroom are finished! The movers (and jason) show up in the afternoon and the big stuff is loaded into a truck...and unloaded! So glad we hired movers! We spend our first night in the new house
  • Thursday, Nov 12- mom and dad head out to florida...exhausted! Thank you sooo much for all the help and hard work from you two!
  • Friday - Sunday....work on both houses
  • Monday, Nov 16 - we have the walk through and close on our old house
  • Tuesday, Nov 17 - we hand over the keys to our old house
  • After that...lots of nights unpacking and cleaning and working
  • Becca, Russ, Ian and Cole come to visit the weekend of the 21st and most things are in place...but we still need pictures on the walls

  • We had a few days to start decorating for Christmas and start to pack for vacation
  • On Wednesday, Nov 25 we leave on a jet plane to visit mom and dad in Florida

It seems like a whirlwind with lots of lists and things-to-do...but we've made it and things are starting for feel more like home. The boys took the change well (actually they have adjusted much better then I)

Our 'old house' is now 'brad and katie's house'....Our 'new house' is called 'new house' Team RyKy love their bedroom and the toys are amazingly staying in the toy room! They have mastered the stairs and enjoy eating breakfast and talking about all the squirrels outside. They also have to pet the ceramic alligator (left behind by the previous owners) every time it is passed on the sidewalk. Kyle is scared of the furnace and will always close the door to the washer/dryer room to make it quiet! Ryan exclaims 'oh...a Christmas tree' every morning he wakes and they love opening up the blinds to see the Christmas lights that daddy placed in the backyard! Things are good and starting to feel more like 'home'
