Christmas Vacation - the first half

We have some catching up to do with this blog as the past 10 days has been a busy, fun-filled family Christmas vacation in sunny Florida. We flew down December 18 (we were bumped to 1st class) to Orlando in the morning and headed directly to Sea World with Grammie and Grandpy.

Friday we visited with GG (great-grandma) Carol and Fred.

Then we headed for some live music at The Villages town square (a retirement community). Needless to say, Team RyKy were the life of the party. They danced the night away and we enjoyed the 2-for-1 happy hour.

Saturday we headed to Saint Augustine (south of Jacksonville by 35 minutes) where we toured the amazing, historic city. (Saint Augustine is the oldest city in America with roots back to Ponce de Leon's search for the Fountain of Youth).

That night, we camped at Anastasia State Park. It was the boys first camping experience. The next morning they also walked (and fell) in the Atlantic Ocean too!

On Monday, Jason and I headed to Orlando for date night! Thanks Mom and Dad for watching the boys! We went to see Blue Man Group and made it to Disney to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the Grand Floridian. We then rode the monorail for fun and had coffee and dessert at the Polynesian. We spent Tuesday morning at Downtown Disney and then headed back. It was such an enjoyable time for just the two of us!

We returned to Grammie and Grandpy's for some normal Florida fun and preparation for Christmas.

Oh, and I wanted to capture the boys watching their favorite Christmas movie... The Snowman! They have watched this once (or twice) a day for the past month. They are glued to the TV for the entire 28 minutes! So Cute!
