Viva Las Vegas

First of all, a BIG thanks to Jason's parents for watching Team RyKy while Jason and I took a long weekend to Las Vegas. Thanks to them, we didn't ever worry about the boys and had a wonderful time.

So, here's what we did:

Day 1: Sunday morning our flight left Indy at 5:30 a.m., via Chicago, landing in Las Vegas by 9:00 a.m. We checked into Mandalay Bay, walked the south end of the strip, ate lunch, went back to hang out at the Mandalay Bay pool, went out for dinner and then walked the entire strip (which is a really long way). We were sure to stop off and see the free stuff, like the lions at MGM Grand and the Pirate Show at Treasure Island (Let me just add the fact this was not a pirate show like you have ever seen before. The parents who took their kids there were definitely in for a surprise).

Day 2: Monday included breakfast at House of Blues, hanging out at the pool again, lunch at Rain Forest Cafe and more pool. Later, we took the monorail, headed to downtown Vegas (Glitter Gulch and the Fremont Experience), went to "Defending the Caveman," ate, drank, and gambled (Jason even won, while chatting it up with a Chicago Bears fan to the left and an Englishman to the right. Leave it to Vegas to bring Packers fans and Bears fans peacefully together).

Day 3: Tuesday morning highlighted the pool again. After checking out of Mandalay, we rented a car and visited Boulder City, Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon. Afterwards, we still had time for dinner at the Palms and shopping for gifts (at least we tried) before heading back to the airport for the red eye flight.

We had an awesome time as it was very relaxing and a wondefrul get away for our six year anniversary. Jason- I love you, I love spending every minute with you... Thank you for making my life so amazing! Ryan and Kyle- we missed you and are so happy to be our little happy family of four again!
