"Hello," says Ryan. Welcome to our two week vacation summary. It was mighty relaxing and a nice break for our family to truly connect and enjoy our time together without the daily rituals we become very familiar with during the work weeks. We are extremely thankful for opportunities like this to spend quality time together as one.

Jason's parents recently spent six weeks in Hilton Head Island. We joined them Saturday evening, March 1, through Saturday morning on March 8.
Hilton Head is know for great beaches, bike trails, sea turtles, dolphins, great restaurants and overall a relaxing environment. We also discovered they have a pediatrician and a hospital. Thanks again Dr. Salerno for helping Ryan with his pneumonia. Despite all of us feeling foggy for a portion of the trip, it certainly did not take away from our overall enjoyment.

My parents generously treated us to a dolphin tour through the waterways of Hilton Head. It worked out well for them as well as they hung out with Ryan and Kyle. The dolphin tour was a huge highlight for us and it was a very personalized tour, as it was a small vessel with only one other couple on board in addition to the skipper, Scott, and his dolphin spotting pal, Woody the black lab.
We stayed in and made meals ourselves for the first portion of the week, but also spent a few days and nights on the town sampling the local flavors. The boys are always a hit with the wait staff and other patrons at the restaurants. Team RyKy are very in tune with their surroundings and enjoy taking in new environments, especially if they have some Cheerios and a spare rice cake for munching.

Nicole and I were extremely excited for the boys to experience the beach at Hilton Head. For the most part, Hilton Head offers a flat beach suitable for biking and crawling, but there are also sandy areas which are perfect for little boys to dig around. RyKy explored all areas of the beach and took a liking to seaside sand.
