Past 2 weeks

Time to catch up from the past few weeks. We have been busy and the boys are learning new things everyday. Ryan has gained two upper front teeth. Both boys have had their first ear infection. And today, they mastered waving to Grammie in Florida on Skype (it's a really cool video/telephone through the computer -- the boys love it and get to see both sets of grandmas and grandpas everyday if they want). Not only are RyKy laughing and squeeling, but they chase after each other with their quick crawls.

Eating...we are mastering real food. Ryan is an expert eater and much prefers feeding himself. The boys will eat almost everything (Kyle doesn't like the Gerber bananas, but that's it). They love whole peas, avocados, cherrios, and rice cakes.

Two weekends ago we went to the new Central Library in Indianapolis and met up with the boy's friend, Ella. It had a neat interactive stage and Ella and the boys enjoyed watching the action. And my favorite part of the weekend...both boys taking a nap with Mommy.

During the week, Jason's parents stopped by for a few nights on their way to Hilton Head. Then, this past weekend we had a visit from Russ, Becca, and Ian. It was nice to see them and Ian is already 3 1/2 months old.
We are trying to get the boys used to taking a bath in the bathtub. Up to this point they've used the little tub in the sink. Ryan doesn't seem to appreciate the large stretching room that the normal tub offers.

Recently, I joined MOPS, which meets twice a month on Friday mornings. Today, we attended a free program called Early Beginnings which also is offered twice a month at the Children's Museum. The museum opens an hour early and you can bring kids under 2 to play before it gets crowded. The boys just loved it. Here are the pictures of a few of the things they tried today.

Notice in a few pictures that Kyle is starting to display his tongue more. Just like his Dada, any activity that requires great concentration is more easily accomplished when sticking out the tongue. Cute!
